Marshal D. Haneisen

Professional Writer, Speaker and Writing Coach

Sometimes, the younger self unknowingly has foresight of who we will be in the future. In the small print beneath my high school yearbook photo, I quoted Georgia O'Keeffe, "I find that I have painted my life, things happening in my life - without knowing."

From reporting on the return of the cotton crop to Georgia farmlands to providing resources for parents raising children with special needs, I have been writing for magazines and newspapers for more than 20-years. Those stories, as much as my own life experiences, have created the landscape of my life. Each interview, each draft, each publication, adding color, texture and detail.

I have a Bachelor's degree in English and Professional Writing from Fitchburg State College and a Master's degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. My professional writing activities now include writing non-fiction articles for magazines, crafting personal essays, sermons, and fiction short stories, chiselling out poems, and coaching other writers in their art.
